Mark Copping Music
Mark Copping has over 20 years experience as freelance piano/composition tutor. He has worked both privately and as a school teacher, teaching to:
- ABRSM piano and theory
- GCSE
- A level
Mark Copping teaches from his home in north Kent and also travels to SE London in order to teach in students' own homes including the areas of Blackheath, Greenwich and their surrounds. He is an award winning composer and has written many commissions, alongside working with multi media companies and advertising agencies.
At his home, Mark Copping has a fully equipped music room, which includes a Steinway grand piano and a modern upright. The music room also has computer based recording and scoring equipment for both Mac and PCs.
Mark Copping provides a holistic experience for musical learning in a comfortable and enjoyable environment . This leads to the students developing strong musical and playing skills, which will encourage performance poise and confidence. His teaching goals are to help students develop a lifelong love and passion for music and learning so that they may play with joy and expressiveness.

| | Profile: | | I have over 20 years experience as a freelance piano/composition tutor, both privately and as a school teacher. I have prepared students for ABRSM Piano and theory as well as GCSE, and A’ level music examinations.
I teach at home in north Kent and also travel to south east London, where I teach in students homes. This includes Blackheath Greenwich, and Lewisham.
I was taught piano by concert pianist and head of piano at Kent Music School, Andrew Haigh and at university by Cambridge based concert pianist Philip Mead.
I studied Composition with John Hopkins as an undergraduate and also briefly with Robin Holloway and John McCabe |
